"The Price of an Equivocal Order," or "Next Guest,"

a short play, set on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, when the A-Team members of retail chain F's Unlimited called out after a grueling Black Friday.

Scene: Dunkin Donuts, 92nd Street and Lexington Ave.

Young Woman: (cutting off someone mid order at the counter) Excuse me, we ordered 3 egg wraps, although it looks like we only got and paid for one. Can I just give you the extra money and you can make some more?

(The lights dim to half as the woman at the register quickly looks to see if there are any F's to give around the counter.)

Woman at the Register: (Lights back up to full) No. Next Guest.

(The end.)
