"At Totally Different Stops," Or "Dude, I'm Heading to Work,"

a short play set on a Tuesday evening when all the F's to give went into overdraft earlier that afternoon.

Scene: 1 train, uptown-bound. A couple is sitting together--the woman is reading a magazine article, and the man is playing a Nintendo 3DS. The overhead announcement sounds.

Overhead Announcement: This is 116th Street. 125, next stop.

Woman: (Jumps up) Oh, honey! This is us! (She runs towards the subway car doors to realize he's not behind her.) Umm, honey?

Man: (Without even looking up from his 3DS) Dude, I'm heading to work tonight.

(The subway doors close at the stage fades to black.)

(The end.)
