"He Forgot to Set it to Voicemail," or "Carol, Interrupted,"

A short play set during the holidays in 2009 when the amount of F's to give were low due to the lack of Cranberry Bliss Bars available at Starbucks that day.

Scene: Tysons Corner Center, McLean, VA. A group of holiday carolers are walking from store to store to keep shoppers and retailers in the spirit. They stop in front of a Lulumelon.

Choir Leader: (Turns to group) Alright everyone. "Deck the Halls." (Blows into pitchpipe.)

The rest of the choir begins to sing.

Choir Leader: (Joining in, sings) "'Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la..."(Choir leader's phone goes off. He walks off stage without warning to go answer it.)

(Lights begin to dim as rest of the choir, leaderless, stops singing and begins to murmur angrily.)

Choir member: I mean, he couldn't have set it to voicemail?!

The end.
