“An Unrequited Love,” or “Girl, You A Stranger,”

A very short play set on a Wednesday when all the Fs to give are still trying to get back in the groove after a holiday weekend.

Scene: Union Square Manhattan, immediately in front of Whole Foods. A man in his late 20s is talking to a close friend on the phone.

Man: I mean, I thought it was going well. I tried to text her last night, and she didn’t answer. I tried to text her again around 4:30 this afternoon, and she didn’t answer, but she was definitely posting on social.

At this point, if she texts back, Imma be like...

(Lights Dim.)

Man: Girl, you a stranger.

(The end.)
