"Decision, Overruled," or "Actually, We'd Rather Do That,"

a short play set on a Saturday when all the F's to give dried up with the wind.

Scene: Harlem, West Side. A group of 6 friends are trying to decide next moves following brunch.

Guy 1: There's a great park nearby! We could take a walk over there.

Girl 1: No, that's ok. I think we're gonna go to the bar up the street, and maybe you can meet us there? (Reaches for her boyfriend's hand.)

Guy 1: Oh, ok. Well, the park is only 10 minutes away.

Girl 2: Oh, I'd rather do that.

Boyfriend: Oh, I think we'd actually rather do that. (Turns and looks at Girl 1.)

Girl 1: I dunno, it's kinda chilly, and the bar is right there.

Boyfriend: Look. He said the park is only ten minutes away.

(Lights dim as the boyfriend and rest of the group begin to walk toward the park.)

Girl 1: Ok, the park it is.

The end.
